Decisions About Living or Decisions About Dying?

My husband's name is Harley, mostly I meet others named Harley in the form of a four legged animal, usually a dog.

So when our Co-op friend named Harley calls I'm always happy to chat with him.  This time last year Harley, our customer, was battling cancer and was following a protocol that included some of our products.

When he called yesterday his thoughts were elsewhere.  Seems he and his wife live on a small farm and she has been afraid if he passes how will she ever take care of everything that needs to be done.  When he was so sick with cancer last year his wife said to him, “Don’t leave me with all this stuff.”  They own 20 acres  with, plum, Carpathian walnut, and 4 types of grapes including, in Harley’s opinion, the best eating grape called menuca.  Now he is cancer free and doesn’t want to move.  He said, “ How would I ever live in an apartment?”

In the end Harley and his wife are happy to have decisions about living rather than decisions about dying.
