Are you getting all the goodness out of your supplements? Have you ever wondered why people test their pH? Did you know it is really easy and inexpensive to do? Well, let me tell you!
I first heard about testing urine or saliva pH when I read Bill Henderson’s book Cancer Free.
The goal of pH balancing is to make our bodies run more efficiently. Greens and other items from the garden are the home runs to balancing, if you don’t eat greens or salads you may want to consider giving them another try.
The list of highly acid-forming foods (the ones to be avoided) is lengthy.
- Artificial sweeteners
- Processed cheese
- Corn, corn meal, and fructose corn sweetener
- Fried foods
- Ice cream
- Jam and Jelly
- Processed Meats
You get the picture. The notation that really captured my attention is one glass of cola with a pH of 2.8 would take 32 glasses of alkaline water with a pH of 7.4 to bring the body back to neutral.
The good news is it doesn’t take long to get back in balance. For most people it can be achieved with a few days of conscientious eating and drinking .
When your body is spending the majority of its energy correcting for an acid system it doesn’t have time or resources to do what it is meant to do which is to keep the blood and organs functioning at optimum levels. This is especially important to Our Health Co-op members as vitamins will work much more efficiently when your body is in correct pH alignment.
A fringe benefit of testing is weight loss. It will just happen automatically once your pH is in balance your cravings will go down, it just does.
What I like about this testing is you can see the difference on the paper, it is easy, and economical.
The pH kit with the 40 page informational booklet and roll of paper which will last for many weeks, mine actually lasted for 8 months with the frequency I was testing is $18.95.
