The list that always works, Gratitude.



When I get myself in a bit of a snit, one of the best ways for me to stop feeling sorry for myself is to run through a gratitude list, this is the list from this morning’s drive to work, all items had to pertain to the drive.

I am grateful:

  • I don’t drive a gas guzzler
  • Don’t smoke
  • I am not going in the direction with the traffic accident
  • I have cruise control so no tickets
  • I left early so I won’t be late
  • Can open my sun roof
  • I have gas in my tank
  • The road is newly paved
  • My car makes me feel safe
  • I am listening to great music
  • I am not a tourist and know where I am going
  • The car answers the phone for me
  • I ate breakfast at home and don’t have to stop at McDonalds
  • The palm trees and bougainvillea are beautiful
  • Sunny sky beautiful temperature
  • I don’t have to beg for money on the street corner
  • I can smell the flowers and taste my coffee
  • There is a job for me at the end of the drive, I like the people there, and I feel blessed today.

There are many things in my life to be grateful for this was just the drive to work list.  I do feel better.  Thank you for listening.
