When I get myself in a bit of a snit, one of the best ways for me to stop feeling sorry for myself is to run through a gratitude list, this is the list from this morning’s drive to work, all items had to pertain to the drive.
I am grateful:
- I don’t drive a gas guzzler
- Don’t smoke
- I am not going in the direction with the traffic accident
- I have cruise control so no tickets
- I left early so I won’t be late
- Can open my sun roof
- I have gas in my tank
- The road is newly paved
- My car makes me feel safe
- I am listening to great music
- I am not a tourist and know where I am going
- The car answers the phone for me
- I ate breakfast at home and don’t have to stop at McDonalds
- The palm trees and bougainvillea are beautiful
- Sunny sky beautiful temperature
- I don’t have to beg for money on the street corner
- I can smell the flowers and taste my coffee
- There is a job for me at the end of the drive, I like the people there, and I feel blessed today.
There are many things in my life to be grateful for this was just the drive to work list. I do feel better. Thank you for listening.
