Christmas Thank you notes and the Kansas City Steak Company

I came home one day during the week between Christmas and New Years and we had a big box at the front door, “Hmmm what could this be?”

The box was from the Kansas City Steak Company, I opened the card and it read, Merry Christmas, Jim.  I have a brother Jim that lives in the Kansas City area and I thought how nice even though we stopped gifting each other decades ago.  Then I thought why would he send steaks I rarely serve meat, maybe once a month, and he knows that, oh well.

I sent off a thank you card right away and a few days later got a call, “I didn’t send you any steaks.”

Hmmm, now that is downright strange, who else would send us three boxes of premium steaks and expect us to know who Jim is.  I thought maybe he must have forgotten in all the celebrations of Christmas.  Then it started to bother me.

Finally, I called Kansas City Steak Company and thanked them for the three beautiful boxes of steaks, mentioned sending the thank you note to my brother, and the result of that and could she tell me Jim “Who” had sent the package.

Well, I laughed and laughed one of Harley’s customers had sent the steaks.  Jim is from West Palm Beach and has never sent us a gift before. How were we to know…

Looks like I will be sending another thank you note for the steaks.

Mom is coming to visit in a few weeks and she likes beef so they will be enjoyed.

God Bless,
