Thoughts from Stephen, Words on Our Moral compass

Good morning,

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.

Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.

Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.

But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

--Buddha

Continue to examine your moral compass. We have been given choice and a mind to weigh life’s options.

We are responsible for our beliefs as well as our choices. In the short run we may not be able to change our circumstance yet over time life affords us options to choose from and we ultimately become the person we have chosen.

Today we may live up to the person we have chosen to be while continuing to map our course of beliefs and options.

Opening your mind to the wilderness of new beliefs is the trail to the life your heart desires.

Kindest regards,
Stephen

My friend Stephen has the gift of inspiration, I get emails almost every morning and with his permission I am honored to share some of his thoughtful words with you. The purpose of his writing is “to share my strength and hope for my friends and their friends.”  it is my hope you will enjoy these,   Teri
