Thoughts from Stephen, Words on Questioning

Good morning,

The mark of a moderate man Is freedom from his own ideas.
Tao-te-Ching

The willingness to question may be more essential to balance than the solution.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change."
--Charles Darwin

"We uncover the gift [of discernment] and then we nourish it through the skillful means of noticing, through our prayer, and through our growing openness…..."
--Rose Mary Dougherty

Excess and obsession cut us off from the diversities of life. The very strength of our convictions are dependent on our continued questioning. Embracing moderation affords us the chance to taste much more of life’s variety.

Openly consider the alternative points of view today and question the rational of your own.

May your questions and discernment lead to an amazing day.

Kindest regards,
Stephen

My friend Stephen has the gift of inspiration, I get emails almost every morning and with his permission I am honored to share some of his thoughtful words with you. The purpose of his writing is “to share my strength and hope for my friends and their friends.”  I hope you enjoy these,   Teri
