Thoughts from Stephen, Words on Fishing

Good morning,

"We're endowed with capacities that we frequently fail to recognize until they're pointed out to us. These reminders are what I like to call 'buddha moments' — opportunities to wake up."
--Yongey Mingyur

We are endowed with a broad variety of talent. Our limitations are often only the result of self thought. We are sometimes quick to grasp the idea that we cannot do something because when we tried it we were unsuccessful.

When I was very young a man that owned a fishing lodge and was an amazingly successful fisherman told me his secret to his fishing success. He said, “I try to always have my line in the water”.

"The good life is not a problem-free life. In point of fact, the process of overcoming adversity often produces some of the most rewarding experiences we will ever have."
--Michael A. Schuler

Today when I think the fish aren’t biting I will check to see if my line is in the water.

You may discover an unrecognized capacity today and have an exceptional day

Kindest regards,
Stephen

My friend Stephen has the gift of inspiration, I get emails almost every morning and with his permission I am honored to share some of his thoughtful words with you. The purpose of his writing is “to share my strength and hope for my friends and their friends.”  I hope you enjoy these,   Teri
