I have never been called on to perform CPR, I hope that I never have to. I am certified in CPR but am always confused about compressions vs breaths, not any more.
Two doctors have come up with an easy way to perform CPR on adults that offers better success rates than the old method with compressions and mouth to mouth.
It is a continuous pump optimally 100 chest compressions per minute. This must be maintained until you get assistance or emergency services arrive, you can make the difference between life and death. The new way keeps circulation to the brain and heart active and there is no certification required.
