You can roll your eyes if you like, I for one am sad to say goodbye to Jack La Lanne.
Jack and Elaine were the first people I exercised with in our living room, back then home was South Windsor Connecticut. In the 1960's there were only a few programming choices on TV and Jack was my choice. I was a little girl back then, I wonder if doing those exercises with him and his wife, Elaine, instilled in me the desire I have to this day to exercise almost every day? I can tell you since then I have always found time to walk, stretch, something active maybe this is part of the reason I am blessed with health and good moods, research certainly supports it.
I remember Jack would come on the program energized, fit and happy and it was fun to exercise with friends.
Two years ago I contacted Jack’s representatives and requested an interview for our newsletter. They said he was no longer giving interviews but thanked me for my interest and would pass along our good wishes to Jack.
The Jack La Lanne show would end with his sign off, "Good bye, God Bless, and have fun."
